Camp Rules & Guidlines
Red Pine Camp is a family camp dedicated to providing low cost family camping based on Christian principles. In order to meet this objective, the Camp Operating Committee asks that you follow these guidelines to help campers enjoy their holiday at Red Pine Camp. All campers under the age of 19 must be supervised in camp by an adult. Junior staff are prohibited by employment contract from consuming alcohol or illegal drugs while at camp. Campers are requested to ensure junior staff are not compromised in this requirement. Campers are not permitted in junior staff cabins and junior staff are not permitted in non- family camper cabins. *Alcoholic beverages can only be consumed by campers of legal age (19 years or older) within their cabin or adjacent to it. We request that alcoholic beverages be consumed discreetly and with full consideration to resist offending or disturbing other campers. *Noise can be very disruptive to fellow campers. Please take special care to minimize noise within your cabin area during sleeping hours. All campers are requested to refrain from making noise after 11pm. each night and to consider other campers, when using radios and musical instruments, at all times. *Fire is a major concern to the camp. Please be very careful with cigarette smoking, insect candles and other open flames. Camp fires are only permitted in the council rings. These areas should be tidied by the campers after their use. *Smoking is not permitted in any building, including cabins. *PLEASE REFER TO THE FOLLOWING LINK FOR MORE DETAIL ON THESE ITEMS. Waterfront safety is a concern of all campers. You are requested to follow all rules established by the waterfront staff. Specifically:
Please follow rules of good sportsmanship at all Red Pine sports events and remember our main objective is camper participation and enjoyment where "Red Pine Rules" are the great equalizer. Please ensure that sports equipment is kept in good condition for other campers' use, including putting it away after use. Telephone services are provided by Bell Canada from three phone booths that take calling cards only. Cell phones do not work from the camp. Internet and Fax services are not provided from the camp. Automobiles are not permitted in cabin areas other than for loading and unloading. Basic electrical wiring cannot accommodate electric heaters or other appliances that need a lot of power to operate. Departure from the above guidelines should be reported to the Business Manager or the Camp Coordinator. |
